More: all done now - except for putting an actual switch in and adding a tank and pressure guage.
Works durned good for a disposable compressor that i didn't need to do any fabbing etc for - 33x11.2 (285/75/16) tire from 10 psi to 28 psi in 1 min 15 seconds? I'll take it - even tho it's the 36x15.5's that I have to fill LOL. Still better than looking for a close gas station on Sunday evening ;0) Also held an air nozzle to a paper towel and kept it wide open for a good 5 minutes - no oil/grease residue on the paper towel at all
Two thumbs up - man it's cold out tonight ;0)

Hey Rob you have any part numbers for the hot hose and the other parts you used. I put one in the cruiser but now I need all the other parts.

Nope - went to P&R Western star around the corner from me here to figure out fittings and hose etc. I don't think the fittings are an exact match for the ones on the compressor but they seal up just fine. Still not using a tank and it doesn't seem to mind at all. Did find a goochy little pressure switch at a lowrider shop on the mainland - it's nice and small just like the ones at the kilby site - won't have to use the big bulky switch when I build the oba on the rubicon.

Yup, the hardest part is getting the compressor out of the engine bay - works like a charm and no residue coming through the lines at this point. Tested by holding paper towel over the nozzle for about 5 minutes and no discolouration at all - impressive for a cheap fix :0)

cool thanks - all the engine parts are now at the engine shop and I should have the V8 back in the garage next week. I look forward to something other than that gutless 4 banger!!!!!!!! My ARB compressor also crapped out a couple weeks ago so the OBA will be nice to have before Moab.
