Complete noobie to the off-roading world. I bought a 1993 Nissan D21 SE-V6 last year and used the four-wheel drive once to get up the snowy Observatory hill to work.
I seem to remember acquiring cheep firewood from the Mill Bay area from some local logging road and remember the road to be a good beginner off-roading trail. Are there good places to just go off-roading with my truck around the Southern Island (I live in Victoria) that maybe has a nice view to stop and admire?
Thanks! Dustin

there are a few spots. closest would be Shawnigan area. Go out Renfre road and go past the burnt bridge MTN bike riding area. lots of logging roads to explore.
Also check out Mt. Prevost in Duncan amazing view from the top.

Hi chet, and thanks.
Did you mean Renfrew Road? Where is the burnt bridge? Is this the old Kinsol Trestle? Is there a road up there?
Thanks again.

ya sorry renfrew rd. kinsol trestle is on the trans canada trail and crosses renfrew rd. you can walk there quite easily.
I suggest picking up a backroads mapbook for the island. they are quite good.
