Check the Times Colonist story (Sunday Dec. 12) about the Port Alice gut who survived the cougar attack a few years ago. I think I will be buying a bigger knife for camping.

I didn't see the TC on the 12th but if you are referring to the guy riding his bike when he got attacked, I know the guy who saved him. He let me in on his weapon of choice, it was a CR 125 head in the bag that he hit the couger with.
