This moring on the morning news they asked Carol James - leader of the NDP what she drove - she said a small SUV because like most BC'ers we all go off-road!
So this morning I went to the NDP web site and sent her a e-mail here is what I sent:
This morning on the BC morning news Carol made a comment that she owned a SUV and like most BC residents go off-road. I am the publisher of 4WD Magazine. I moved to Kelowna party due to the fact that almost every area on lower Vancouver Island has been closed off to off-road activity. I was met by a traditional off-road trail near my new home to Little White Mountain being closed by the parks department. Actually the destruction left behind from their "closing" pulling down live tree's and cutting deep trenches in the park section that the trail crossed is more destructive than any off-road use the area has seen in 30 years. Closures seem to be a way of life to off-road motorized users and it sure would be nice to see it addressed. In the last throws of the NDP before the Liberals took over you also gave a substantial amount of money to the TLC to close another traditional off-road area near Sooke (end of Harbourview Rd) a perfect area that could have been used for off-road vehicles as a OHV park. I went from a long time NDP supporter to in limbo for my vote. It sure would be nice to see our province put aside crown land where off road use can take place with designated OHV areas. I have a campaign on my web site to purchase a large track of land in central BC for this use www.can4x4.com. I would be more than happy to site on an advisory board to guide the province towards OHV dedicated areas. All you need to do is call and you will have the volunteer labour you need for such an endeavor.
Thank you for reading my rant.

I will let you know if she gets back to me....
