Time for some snow-time war stories - My poor little Land Cruiser just about got smushed by a tree that fell. Actually, it came to rest on the Cruiser's roof, but amazingly, didn't even crack the fiberglass top. Nailed my BBQ, though. But missed the house - just brushed the snow off the corner of it!

Had to laugh though - I was woken up at 6:00 am by some gomer (might have been a gomeress - ya never know!) who couldn't drive up our street - it was rather icy, but their almost-bald tires (definitely balder now after the spinning they did this am) didn't help matters much. It's really weird that multiple ten-grand revving sessions DOES NOT help traction. It took them an hour of spinning, doing 180s, nearly hitting many of my neighbours' cars before mercifully, the truck stalled, their battery went dead and they resigned themselves to parking it. Ordinarily I would have helped, but those pinheads shouldn't have been on the road anyhow- single-track Chevy with junk tires - accident waiting to happen.

Say - maybe I should tow this thing a couple blocks away - teach 'em a lesson. Or is that a little too vendictive for the early morning rude awakening?

Does anyone else think it's odd that I'm carrying on this thread alone?

Me and the boys have been out to shop for a ride on the quad. Lots of damage around here with trees down etc. We have about 1 foot of snow here. But we are having fun.

Lots of good snow-time war stories but some of us don't have time to reply because we have been at work for 14+ hours these last two days plus 10 on Sunday. Got to be in at 5:00 AM tomorrow to start it all over again so I'm off to bed. I just wish the yahoos (like the ones Rob had outside his place) would stay at home. Enjoy the snow... Dave PS. I'll post some pics if I get a chance.
