Are all the hot spots closed?

Been gone from the island for a few years, only to come back to everything over developed or gates closed due to fire season. we have found a few off roads but nothing to write about. Can anyone suggest where we can find some good climbin or muddin trails for the deprived blazzin blazer? We are in duncan area, but will go where we need to to put a big 4x4 smile on the mans face ;D

check out farther out of town ,,and also check in with the Nanaimo sidewinder club runs , I believe they have lots of trails open up that way
