Trailer questions

I have noticed I have begun thinkin alot more about gettin a trailer to haul My rig to and from the trail .. and have been eyeing up trailers but am curious what to be looking for

Tandem axle ... I think is a Must have
electric brakes ......a must also I guess
make sure the deck fits the rig ..... just worry about wheel base or look at over all deck lenght same as rig?
do they have certain GVW ratings? is it markered?

anyways just thinkin out loud here ,,and would love to hear others imput ..
