Thanks for the fun day guys. The good thing about wheeling with others is that you go places you otherwise wouldn't go. The bad thing about wheeling with others is that you'll go places you otherwise would have known to avoid. The good thing about wheeling with others is that you have help if you get stuck or break down. The bad thing about wheeling with others is that you'll go places to get stuck and break down. Met up with Chris, Dennis, Andy, Duane, Brock and another Sammy at Masons and 7 vehicles headed out together. I don't know the names of any of the trails we ran, but parts of them were certainly on the other side of my comfort zone. The Cruiser behaved nicely and performed better than I expected. New tyres and reduced air pressure certainly helped. Dragged the rear a few times, scaped over a few berms, gots lots of "pin striping", but no body damage for me; Brock had a different story and Andy left a arear light assembly behind too. We got stopped on the way up to the lake waiting for another group to recover a stuck rig.  Waited a long time and eventually decided to turn around and try a different route.   I wussed out and decided that I wasn't following Brock's line. At the bottom, Duane decides to have some fun.  Thanks for the patience, help, and fun. -Steve |
