Send me your nominations for the craziest logging roads. Know any log truck drivers that could provide first-hand opinions? The road that I suggested was the 6-switchback one up to Maid Lake near Port Renfrew. maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&source=s_....042486&t=h&z=15Here's the note that came to our club email: My name is Steve Evans, and I’m working on a new television programme for the Discovery Channel called ‘World Truckers’. The format of this show follows a group of hand-picked professional truck drivers from different parts of the world as they compete in some of the most iconic truck journeys on the planet. Each of the 8 episodes in the series will be based in a different country with unique scenery and a story that relates to the character of the country. We will follow the 8 truck drivers in their teams of two in an observational documentary style. We are hoping to film one episode along the difficult logging routes of British Columbia and lots of people have suggested we take a look at Vancouver Island as they have some of the steepest most difficult terrain in B.C. I’m hoping you might be able to advise us on some of the best places to go. We are basically looking for the most challenging terrain we can find. We want somewhere that people aren’t going to believe trucks can travel. We need the steepest terrain, with sheer drop offs and beaustif scenery. Do you think this is something you might be able to help us with? Thank you in advance. Steve
