Greetings people! I'm new to this forum, I am fairly new to the Island, and to be honest quite new to offroading as well. I have been out with a Calgary club a few times when I lived out that way and had a blast meeting new people and drive in places no one thought a truck should go.. I'm posting here for two reasons, one is that my fiancé and I would love to come out for the day/weekend and go wheeling with you guys this summer, so let me know if you're planning a trip on the southern island that would be considered a stock-run. The second reason I'm posting is more urgent I suppose... I got this squeaking metallic sound coming from my left front wheel when I am turning. youtu.be/DfPeNBDb5m0 I'm suspecting a wheel bearing, but I'm not 100% sure. I checked the break pads, and they got plenty of life left on them. I'm looking for help and advice on where to go to get it fixed, where to buy parts or even if there are any good DIYers out there willing to help out.... The truck specs are: Nissan XTerra XE 2002, 6cyl, no SC, 4WD. Thank you kindly!! Stefan

welcome and a buddy of mine is a big Xterra guy and this was his response. I'm surprised with that much noise it hasn't siezed on you. Replace the unit bearing ASAP or at some point it will fail locking up the wheel and potentially making you crash - i had one sieze on my Chevy once - not nice... Also make sure you get a good unit bearing not a china knock off.
from Wade: Its the unit bearing. And the creaking is his suspension flexing under the turning load, specifically the UCA's on the rubber bushings.
