driving a mostly stock '76 toyota fj40. i've been picking thru it for the past few years, tuning up everything i can, as i can. usually drive it in the summers but have had bad luck with it needing substantial repairs. anyway, now its doing much better with a totally rebuilt low geared transmission (4.95:1 first and reverse gears). this is the most exciting modification so far. but the best part is that now i am confident the bugs have been worked out and i'm ready for some fun trips. next three items on the priority list are a winch, a rear locker, and a decent cage. needless to say, i don't do any serious wheeling alone since my traction and recovery setups are minimal. so that is why i am looking to join an organized ride such as the one this club puts on. i have had some difficulty finding out on the website where the ride details are located. i would like to have the option open to go along with you guys for at least one this summer.

Yup, you won't find much directions wise posted up on bulletin boards. The best way IS to come out on a run with the group. Yesterday "should" have been one of our monthly runs but with holidays etc it slipped through the cracks :0/

Visit the club homepage where you'll find timings for monthly meeting and run - come on out and meet the people and you'll get a good idea of what's going on and when.
