we used waterwetter in the demo cars. it seemd to work I had a car that ran 220 all the time and putting it in with straight water kept it to around 200. Not sure how it would work with antifreeze

I heard its like $15 a bottle ,,, I think if it knocks the temp down like 10-15 deg ,,,its very much money well spent,,
I just put a new rad in the rig ,,so I didnt want to start dumpin in additives and plug anything up....

I ran it in my CJ witht he 401 and plan to run it again with the new 545 I am building. It seems to work pretty good so I feel it is a good 15.00 investment. I actually carry a spare in case I have to drain my water system and re fill it. Al

ran it in my jeep for a little bit, didnt make a difference in my situation due to bad gearing....may work for you but I doubt it, your in the same situation as I was in Slim. New coolant system parts but stock gearing and large tires will work the jeep hard. I would try it out anyways.

yah no harm in tryin ,,..
I was thinkin ,,since the Jeep is runnin at like 195-200 deg normal ..and if this lowers it say 10 degree ..I will need to put in a lower themostat .... something like a 165 ? otherwise the engine might want to run at like 180-185 but the 195 stat in it will keep it closed ..... just thinkin out loud here ... does that make sense tho?

slim forgot to mention that his trans has boiled over a couple of times on him, once on a short highway drive, and another time climbing kapoor hill. What sort of mods can a person do to a TH400 to accomodate larger tires and such? I know the obvious is re-gearing, but what about torque converters and such? He now has a remote trans cooler in the rear with an electric fan.
I had the identical setup and ran about as hot as his, trans got smoking hot and heated the motor up too quickly making it painfully slow to cool down. I swapped over to a manual trans and just that alone my motor now runs about 35 degrees cooler under hard load on a hot summer day.
