For those of you who did not make it to the meeting last night. Snow Run is Jan 7, meet at 9 am at the Copper Canyon gate near Chemainus. No BBQ this year so bring a lunch. Due to lots of snow this one is not a good candidate for stockers as it has been in the past.

I will be arriving with Shane and Lori. I sent an email to Berry and Jenny and Steve and Kathy and asked them to forward the invite on to others. Might as well. Its possible some of us (me) won't get too far so Im bringing up the sled and snow shoes.

My seat is filled. Remembers to pack a snow shovel
Environment Canada says ...
"Sunday..Periods of rain ending late in the day then cloudy. Amount 10 mm. Wind west 60 km/h. High 9."
I guess it will be snowing and windy, which means 'wind chill' and cold. So 10 mm rain should mean 10 cm of snow, unless it is wet, which might mean only 5 cm.
If I am not at the gate, I maybe waiting up at the snow line, where the snowmobilers were parked before the first snow hill. last Sunday

Alas, nope We were soooooooo close encountered a couple problems with stuff needing some mods etc and conquered those. Were basically at final setup and reassembly time for the front carrier and crap!!!! It takes a non standard bearing set! Nothing in the directions nor any heads up from the peeps what makes it :0/ Gotta go bearing shopping in the am - we're figuring that it takes a bearing set for tj's not yj's. So, reader's digest version is that I'm out Will be good to go next week though if anyone's up fer a run then. Have fun guys - I'll be thinkin bout ya. Rob

I had a great time playing, rolling and digging in the snow today, great exercise and lots of fresh-air -- eh.... no life like it!. Another "long way to nowhere" adventure. Thanks for all the help guys - and especially Ian for putting that dab-blasted wimpy shear-pin in the the PTO winch drive. It will be MUCH stronger very soon. I think a Hi-lift jack and steel shovel are on the agenda for me next time. By the way did anyone end up with an extra yellow 30' Rockstomper tug strap in their kit? I had two, but got home with one.

This is a pic from the week before, when we pre-ran this trail. As you can see, we were very careful to pre-run everything, including those friggin' holes. I showed Glenn exactly where this hole was, but apparently, he forgot! I mean sheesh - he was lookin' right at me and everything! And, he was the one who towed me outta there too! And it seems to me the same hard-working shoveler dude was instrumental in getting me unstuck... Thanks, Duff!

AH yeah, Glenn I guess the guys have left ME with the dirty job of letting you know that....uh welll......hmmmmm.......I guess I've got good news and bad news about your strap:
Good news: We've got it!
Bad news: It had to be sacrificed (ie cut) from Ian and Shane when they were both stuck in the snow with a very taught strap between them. We will be replacing it for ya. Sorry man!
Thanks for all the fun in snow!
