k ,,so I found a hitch for My old 73 J2000 and am thinkin ahead ...Im wantin this to be a tow vehicle ..so I know I need to run 7 pole wiring...
so what else does My rig need ? electric brake controller?

only need an electric brake controller if the trailer has electric brakes! alot have surge brakes which act off the hitch and need no additional wiring.

kewl thanks Chris ,, are they all of similar quaity ?? or is there something I should look for ( like GVW ect) or stay away from ?

You can go cheap or lot's of money they go buy GVW or number of axle's.
